Cardinals season is here. If you are headed to State Farm Stadium in Glendale this fall, here is something most fans figure out by accident: some of the best food in the building comes from Arizona family businesses, not national concession companies.
We know because we are one of them. Cactus Corn has been popping kettle corn in Phoenix since 1998, and we have sold more than 25,000 bags of it at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals. This season we are back, and we brought friends.
Here is what to look for on the concourse.
Fresh Kettle Corn, Popped by a Phoenix Family Since 1998
Start with the smell. Kettle corn made the right way announces itself from thirty feet away, and ours is made the right way: non-GMO popcorn, pure cane sugar, and salt, popped in coconut oil. Slightly sweet, slightly salty, and gone before the third quarter.
It is the same recipe we have served at Chase Field since the ballpark opened in 1998. Twenty-eight years of Arizona ballgames taught us one thing: fans can tell the difference between popcorn made fresh and popcorn made last Tuesday.
Grab a bag on your way to your seat. It is the snack that survives the walk.
Someburros x Cactus Corn: Salsa Verde and Desert Churro Crunch
If you grew up in the Valley, Someburros needs no introduction. The family behind it has been feeding Arizona for generations, and their stand at State Farm Stadium brings real Mexican food to game day.
This season there is a twist. We teamed up with Someburros to create two custom popcorn flavors, popped in our Phoenix kitchen and served only at their stand:
- Salsa Verde, savory popcorn inspired by the green salsa that goes on everything at Someburros
- Desert Churro Crunch, sweet popcorn with the cinnamon sugar crunch of a churro
Two Arizona family businesses, one bag of popcorn. You will not find these online, and you will not find them anywhere else in the stadium.
Spinato's x Cactus Corn: Mama's Signature and Windy City
Spinato's has been a Phoenix pizza institution for decades, and their stadium stand is where you go when a hot dog will not cut it.
We built two custom flavors with them too:
- Mama's Signature, named for the family recipes Spinato's is built on
- Windy City, a nod to the family's Chicago roots
Same deal: popped by us, inspired by them, and only available at their stand inside State Farm Stadium. If you are the person who plans your concourse route before kickoff, put both collab stands on the map and settle the four-flavor argument yourself.
Three Arizona Family Businesses, One Stadium
NFL stadiums usually run on national brands. State Farm Stadium is different. When you buy kettle corn from us, a burro from Someburros, or a slice from Spinato's, your money stays with Arizona families who have been feeding this state for a combined lifetime.
That is not a marketing line. That is just how we like to eat at a football game.

Game Day Snack Questions, Answered
Is the kettle corn at State Farm Stadium made fresh?
Yes. We pop it in Phoenix in small batches, the same way we have since 1998. No warehouse popcorn, no months on a shelf.
Can I buy the stadium kettle corn online?
Yes. Our Original Kettle Corn is the same recipe we serve at the stadium, and it ships anywhere in the country.
What about the Someburros and Spinato's popcorn flavors?
All four are stadium exclusives: Salsa Verde and Desert Churro Crunch at the Someburros stand, and Mama's Signature and Windy City at the Spinato's stand. You can only get them inside State Farm Stadium. One more reason to get to the game.
Where else can I find Cactus Corn in Arizona?
Chase Field, Salt River Fields, WestWorld of Scottsdale, Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, and spring training stadiums across the Valley. Or skip the ticket and order online.
